In July 2025, among the top 30 U.S. metro areas, the Boston metro area led with a 9.6% year-over-year increase in sales volume, recording 3,347 homes sold. Meanwhile, the Houston metro area saw a modest 1.0% increase, with 11,793 homes sold.

The Denver metro area experienced a 4.0% decline in sales volume, totaling 4,754 transactions. The Phoenix metro area followed with a 5.9% drop, recording 4,158 homes sold. The Tampa metro area posted the steepest decline among the five, with sales falling 7.9% year-over-year to 3,928 homes.
