In July 2025, the Houston metro area continued to lead the top 30 U.S. metro areas with the highest number of homes for sale, totaling 62,130 homes and reflecting a 39.1% year-over-year (YoY) increase. The Atlanta metro area followed with 54,243 homes on the market, showing a 27.0% YoY growth. The Dallas metro area reported 49,574 homes for sale, marking a 23.8% YoY increase. Meanwhile, the New York metro area recorded 34,401 homes, up 7.5% YoY, and the San Antonio metro area saw an inventory of 28,776 homes, representing a 7.6% YoY increase.
