Among the top 15 metro areas, the highest YoY percentage shift in property sales volume in April 2024 was observed in Seattle, marking a surge of 14.7% compared to the previous year, totaling a volume of 3,632. In contrast, Atlanta experienced the lowest shift with a decrease of 12.2% and 13,719 homes sales. Phoenix and Houston also saw significant increases, with YoY changes of 13.6% and 10.6% respectively. Austin grew substantially at 9.2%, while Boston and Washington had more moderate rises of 6% and 5%. Denver and Miami had slight increases, with YoY shifts of 3.5% and 2.9% respectively. Meanwhile, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles maintained stable sales volumes with modest boosts. However, Jacksonville, Philadelphia, and New York saw declines, with YoY changes of 0.7%, 7.1%, and 11% respectively.
