Among the top 15 metro areas, the Phoenix metro area experienced a decrease in home sales in August 2023, with 5,906 homes being sold, showing 0.5% decline when compared to August 2022. Meanwhile, the New York metro area saw the largest decrease in home sales for single-family homes, with 7,448 homes sold, marking a decrease of 30.2% compared to the same month the previous year.
