June 2026 showed a year-over-year increase in housing inventory across several major U.S. metro areas, indicating that more homes were available for sale compared to the same period last year.Seattle, WA metro area recorded the highest inventory growth among the tracked markets, with available homes for sale rising 15.7% year-over-year to 12,810 listings. Minneapolis, MN metro area followed with a 14.4% increase, reaching 15,430 active listings, while Atlanta, GA metro area saw inventory climb 12.2% year-over-year to 59,990 listings.Pittsburgh, PA metro area also recorded notable growth, with inventory increasing 12.0% year-over-year to 7,604 listings. San Antonio, TX metro area rounded out the top five markets, posting a 9.9% increase, bringing available inventory to 30,619 homes for sale.
