October 2025 continued to show strong housing inventory across major U.S. metro areas, with several regions sustaining growth in available listings. The Houston metro area again led the nation, offering 58,073 homes for sale, reflecting a 24.2% year-over-year (YoY) increase. The Atlanta metro area followed with about 52,605 homes listed, showing a solid 14.8% YoY rise as buyer and seller activity remained steady. The Dallas metro area held third place with approximately 46,282 homes on the market, marking a 16.3% YoY increase and indicating continued market momentum. The New York metro area recorded around 32,363 homes for sale, a modest 4.7% YoY gain. The San Antonio metro area reported 27,827 homes for sale, reflecting an 11.0% YoY increase and continuing its upward inventory trend.
