Housing supply continued its upward momentum in October 2025, with several major U.S. metros experiencing notable year-over-year inventory gains. Denver metro area topped the list with a sharp 58.8% increase, reaching approximately 14,728 homes for sale. Cincinnati metro area followed with a strong 38.8% rise, totaling about 9,321 active listings.The Washington, DC metro area reported a 27.8% boost to around 11,599 homes, while the Tampa metro area saw a 24.4% jump, bringing its inventory to roughly 18,998 listings. The Houston metro area rounded out the top metros with a 24.2% increase, pushing active listings to nearly 58,073.
