From January to March 2026, the Detroit metro area led major U.S. markets in home price growth, with its median sale price rising to $269K an 8.0% increase compared to the same period last year. St. Louis followed with a 6.7% year-over-year gain, reaching a median price of $259K. In the Baltimore metro area, median home prices climbed 4.7% year-over-year to $450K. The New York metro area saw a 4.3% increase, with prices reaching $699K, while Philadelphia recorded a 4.2% rise, bringing its median sale price to $422K.
