From May to July 2026, several major U.S. housing markets recorded positive year-over-year growth in median sale prices. Among the 30 metro areas analyzed, Detroit led with a 10.2% increase, reaching a median sale price of $352K. St. Louis followed with a 6.5% rise and a median sale price of $299K. Baltimore posted a 6.1% increase, with the median sale price reaching $519K, while New York recorded a 5.8% gain at $762K. Jacksonville completed the top five with a 5.0% year-over-year increase and a median sale price of $419K.
