Detroit recorded the highest increase among the 30 metro areas tracked, with the median sale price reaching $350K, representing a 15.9% increase compared to the same period last year. Cincinnati followed with a 6.3% year-over-year gain, bringing its median sale price to $335K. Chicago recorded a 6.2% increase, with the median sale price reaching $424K. Pittsburgh and St. Louis both posted a 6.1% rise, with median sale prices reaching $260K and $291K, respectively.
